About the ALDI Graduate Scheme and Application Process

The ALDI graduate scheme has proven to be one of the most challenging and testing schemes within the Times Top 100 graduate employers. ALDI has graduate schemes in management that comprises of a 2 year programme where you will be required to work in and with a number of Aldi stores in a specified region.
The application process to become part of the ALDI team is as follows:

Stage 1: ALDI Online Application Form and Online Numerical and Verbal Reasoning Tests

You will be required to complete a form without the need to upload a CV. From there you will be asked to complete the numerical reasoning test. Like our numerical reasoning practice tests, they are 20 minutes long. In addition to the maths test you will also be required to take a verbal reasoning test which in general people tend to find less challenging.

Stage 2: Situational Judgement Test

You’ll then be sent a link to complete an online psychometric test. This has been designed to measure your core skills and personal qualities, to see if you are right for ALDI.

Stage 3: Video Submission

This part of the application process requires you to submit a short audio file where you are expected to demonstrate your enthusiasm and ambition for the type of work you will be undertaking at ALDI.

Stage 4: Group Assessment

The group assessment will take place at one of the ALDI assessment centres. You will work in a small team to complete a number of tasks, but at the same time, you must show ALDI that you are a natural leader. You will also be required to complete a numerical reasoning test in person at the assessment centre so it is worth continuing your practice following the online test.

Stage 5: Final interview with your Regional Manager

If your ALDI application is successful you will be invited to what they call a final interview, who will run through your experience and why you believe you are right for ALDI.

ALDI NUMERICAL REASONING TEST FAQS

Numerical reasoning tests are used by many graduate employers, including ALDI to help differentiate between candidates. The reasons Barclays use this and other aptitude tests is to arrow down their graduate selection. They choose to do it this way as they have so many applicants it is a quick and easy way to significantly reduce the number of people who move onto the next stage of the application process.

There are books and revision materials for the ALDI numerical reasoning test but the best practise by far is using actual numerical reasoning tests like we have on our site.

The pass mark for each numerical test varies depending on the job or graduate scheme applied for. For example, it is reported that the pass mark for the ALDI graduate scheme is really high around 75%, whereas the pass mark for other graduate schemes may not be as high.

This is very much dependant on the individual. Some graduates prefer to use just the online practice tests, whereas others prefer to hire an expert tutor. If you would like to try our free online practice test or book an expert numerical reasoning tutor, contact Numerical Reasoning Tutor today.
